Ford Trucks: Which Model is Best?

When it comes to pickup trucks, Ford has been the leader for decades. If you want a quality truck that will last you for years, Ford has several options that fit those criteria.

The Ranger

The Ranger is back! After several years of Ford not producing them, they have reintroduced the popular mid-sized pickup truck. Older models were quite small, but the newer 2019 and 2020 models are more like the size of what the F-150 used to be. You can get it the Ranger XL, XLT, or Lariat with a SuperCab, or a SuperCrew (a four-door model). It starts at $24,410, and 21 miles per gallon in the city, and 26 miles per gallon on the highway.

The F-150

The F-150 is the classic all-American truck. This truck starts at $28,745 for an XL, two-wheel-drive standard cab. Five different model options fall under the F-150 category: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Raptor. Each model includes the basic features of the previous, plus improvement in features such as engine size, exterior trim, and sound system. With all of the F-150 models, you can choose all-wheel drive, four-door, or cruise control. The best way to know what you want is to test drive a few at your local dealer or Ford Motor Company Gallup NM.

The Super Duty

The Super Duty category includes F-250, F-350, and F-450 and comes in either 6 3/4′ or 8′. These models start at $33,705 and can reach up to over $90,000 for the F-450 Limited. These models provide a unique combination of the ultimate in engine performance, towing capacity, and luxury.

Buying a new or new-to-you truck can be an excellent decision for someone who wants the flexibility of what a truck can do.
